Passive or Active Amplifier Input?

Sign in to disble this ad
Guys, a quick question.....

I have a passive guitar (Ric 4003) and my amp has two inputs, one for active and one for passive, so a very obvious answer when I am plugging directly in through a lead! However, when playing live, I use an wireless system (Ashdown FreeBass) so what input should I use?

Cheers

If you find that your signal distorts too easily via the passive input, use the active. You'll get a bit more headroom going into the preamp.

What do you mean they're outputs? Of course they're not outputs? The signal goes into the amp through them.

Are you maybe thinking of the twin outputs on his ricky?

As St Drogo said, I am referring to my amp inputs and not the standard or rickysound outputs on my bass!

Good point BigOldHarry, I should do that. I was just thinking that there was a technical answer as to what input I should use!
