I'm looking for your settings especially (but not limited to) using the BC1 in a bi-amp setting. Also any other stuff you would like to say about this preamp. And if you're independently and fabulously wealthy, could you buy the rights and put this sweetheart back in production? Please?? I axed nicely.

I use it bi-amp. In fact, for a while I used two power amps! But I took one out to make a smaller (lighter) rack.

Here's what it used to look like. Ignore the volume levels...

As you can see, I made Channel 2 the clean low end and ran Channel 1 full-range and also had the FX send. Each channel went to its own compressor and power amp. Ridiculous, I know. I just did it because I could!

I love this amp.

It looks like you kept your midrange settings the same on both, and didn't really cut the bottom off of either, but just cut the treble completely off the low end, running the other channel full range.

I have been coming at it differently so far, cutting the bottom off one and the top off the other, and I've been playing with having different midrange peaks for each.

Yeah, that pic doesn't show much difference in the midrange but I would generally roll off a little on the low end for channel 2, with that little bump on channel 1.

Also, I didn't use the amp's distortion for channel 1, I use pedals.

The top channel really did most of the work, the bottom was just a nice solid low. Even with the treble completely rolled off, I thought it still sounded like a solid foundation. The top cab is right up by my ears so any highs in the low end were wasted for me anyway.
