Peavey 1516 cabinet repair

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi from snowbound New Zealand!
Im brandspanking new to Talkbass & this is my 1st post so hopefully im in the right spot doing the right thing!
I have a Peavey 1516 2x8 1x15 biampable cabinet which was working perfect until recently. Now I cant get the 15 to work in full range. Works fine in the low bi amp input. Any ideas?

The speaker is good then. Problem has to be in the crossover. Either a burned part or connection came loose. If you remove the jackplate, the crossover is attached to the back of it.

try to use some contact cleaner on the jacks, they are switching jacks which usually do this type of thing when they get dirty...

Cheers for advice. Got a geezer looking at it and it does look like its a sticking problem with the switching jacks. Should have back later today-will let you know how it goes.
