Peavey 1810 question

Sign in to disble this ad
I want to know if the 18 and the 10's are separated from each other within the enclosure or if they are all in one big box. I want to build my own cab with a similar layout but I have been having a hard time finding information on combining a large woofer with a mid speaker in the same box. Anyway its my first post too yay!!!

The 1810 is an exellant cab by the way. run 400 watts through it, and you will be very happy! BUT get a handtruck or you'll be sorry in the back though.

You know about crossovers? So the frequencies are split appropriately to the driver? See the Fearful threads for some info on crossovers, as they are woofer/midrange/tweeter boxes.

Maybe so, but it won't be as heavy.

The fEarful won't take being dropped down some stairs... It will be better otherwise though.

Since you already own the 1810, (I own a 1820) I've thought about closing the 10's compartment in front of the handles and opening what's left for the 18. Then changing the drivers and biamping around 100-250 hz.
