Peavey 400 series bass amp
 

Thinking of buying one and can get it for $140 anyone know if this dog hunts?

Can you post a picture or describe it any more? I think I have one of these.

Its a little old but I have no qlue I only saw a bad pic and not much of a discription!

Great little amp. You can beat on them all day. If it is the series that will drive a 2 ohm load, do it. The head runs best that way. If you don't have two 4 ohm cabinets, you can use a 8 ohm cab and a 4 ohm cab. Together they will load down to 2.67 ohms. Which will still give you the better part of the amp's capability. It's a solid-state head so it doesn't mind the uneven load. It's still above the minimum 2 ohm load.
