Quite new to the whole bass thing, but anyways just picked up a used Peavey 410 cab and not really sure where to start with looking for a head. Its 4 ohms at 350 rms. Any you guys have experience with one of these, im looking to play rock, metal.

I roll two Peavey TXF 410 cabs. Basically the same cabs as yours with a different covering, carpet instead of Tolex. Same rating. I power them with a Peavey Firebass700 head. Older 90's head but plenty of clean juice at 700 watts. You can find them for around $300.

Something fairly light to make up for the huge weight of the cab.

I have used a Backline 600, an Yamaha PB1/Crown amp, and now a Shuttle 6.0...

It is a glorious cab. Just put casters on it!
