Peavey 612....or is it?

This is the culprit right here...made in the 70's

I figured out why the back plate says 612H but only has four speakers. Someone cut the top two speakers off and reattached the top and cut the grill screen.

So, my question is for anybody who has ever seen or used a Peavey that looked like this in a 6x12? Did Peavey make a 4x12 that looked like mine?

(Here's to hoping I get some info.....)

They did make 412's like that, I don't recall a 612.

Peavey has a pretty extensive collection of archived manuals for their old gear but I don't see anything listed as specifically "612H". Is there any more to the model name than that? No other words or characters worn off?

Nope...it has:

Peavey 612H Enclosure

I could not find anything in the archives either.

I google searched "Peavey 612h" and found several like yours. It appears to be a 4x12 guitar cab. Not sure why it's called a 612.
