I'm not knowlegable about Peavey combos, but here are a few things I do know:

- I have heard good things about the 15" Black Widows speakers.

- Unfortunately he doesn't post the model, but I have never heard of a Peavey combo with 800 watts of power. Maybe that's peak power? If I were guessing how much power it had, just going by the pictures, I would guess 100-300 watts tops. Could be wrong, though.

- The price is comparable to other 115 combo amps in general. Not sure how it compares to other Peavey 115 combo amps.

I would recommend asking the seller for a model number so you can look up the specs. That also lets you do some searches to see what this amp typically sells for on the used market.

The model # is "Combo 115" Those are good amps. I had one of those but it was the newer Red Line model and it was covered in tolex instead of black rat fur, but it was essentially the same amp internally. I ran it with a 4 ohm Peavey TVX 2X10 cabinet and It put out 300 watts @ 2 ohms and will run all day like that without over heating. The seller is talking some nonsense about it putting out 800 watts. He is on crack.

They are very well built and very heavy. Mine weighed 104 lbs. That's a fair price for solid US built amp but you can probably talk him down to $150 -$175.00 since its it one of the older ones with the carpet covering.

Combo 115's put out 210 watts to the internal 4 ohm speaker and will put out 300 watts w/ a 4 ohm cab attached. They don't have a tweeter.

+1 to srxplayer's remarks, except I think this is tolexed, not rat fur.

800 watts is the maximum draw from the outlet; a common mistake, but still annoying. Max output power will be stated near the speaker jack.

You are probably right. Peavey used that really thick and rough tolex. That stuff looked like a spray in bed liner. In the picture it looked like the black carpet.

I'm currently selling my white-faced Combo 115 on CL out in Oregon, its the next model after the one you are looking at. Those are tough amps, as stated, you can run them hard all day and night at 2 ohm, I ran mine along with a 215 Ampeg B25 cabinet many times LOUD and it never went down. Yes they are heavy suckers, but reliable. I'm selling mine for $125, minor cosmetic issues, so I'd snatch that one up, maybe try to offer $150 or so.
