Peavey Fire Bass 700 & 410TVX opinions ?

I have a chance to trade a Vox AD60VTX guitar amp & VC-4 pedal for a Peavey Fire Bass 700 & 410TVX. I would like some opinions on these, I'm not very familiar with them.

good

Solid head and cab. Powerful and loud. As long as everything works well it's a good trade IMO, although I'm not sure what the VOX and pedal are worth. I'd say the Peavey rig is worth about 7 hundred bucks used in very good shape.

I've got a PV Firebass with TVX4x10 and frankly don't like the sounds that I get from it. It tends to be very bass heavy and doesn't seem to give my that mid punch that I really need to have. YMMV. I'd sell mine for an even $400. (just a side note)

What kind of vox guitar amp? I don't know much about the firebass. I used to have a Nitrobass and 410tvx. It sounded like garbage through that cab. Then I bought my ampeg head, and it too sounded like garbage through that cab. Then I bought my mesa cab and both my ampeg and my Peavey Nitrobass sounded amazing through that cab! So I would say the head is pretty nice but the cab sucks IMO, and is also monstrously overweight for a 410! It definitely depends on what vox amp you're trading for it, but if it is a fair trade on value, then you could make the trade and get rid of the cab. I wouldn't say that peavey rig is worth more than about $500 at absolute most. I had difficulty selling my deltabass and 410 for $400 (which I consider a damn good price considering I spent $875 on the pair new). It took a couple months to get a good bite on craigslist for it.

I own a Firebass. This is a solid head - loud, bulky and heavy. I use this as my rehearsal head driving 2 - 112XLT Eden cabs.

They usually go for around $250=$350 used and provide a good bang for the buck IMO.

I don't know about the cab.
