Peavey Kilobass footswitch question

I bought my amp used several years ago, and it didn't have the footswitch with it. In case Peavey doesn't have one I can buy, is there anything weird about the ol Peavy big gun that would stop me from having a new switch fabricated? I know an amp smith who makes switches for all sorts of rigs, but mostly guitar amps like old Fender and Marshalls, so I know if it's feasable, he can do it, on the cheap too.

You can still get one through Peavey if you call customer service. It should also be easy to make one using a stereo/TRS plug:

Tip = effects loop active/bypass
Ring = EQ active/bypass
Sleeve = ground
