Peavey Mace as bass head?

Does anyone have any experience with these? Do they sound good? Growly? Muddy?

160 Watts, 6 6l6 tubes, SS preamp.

Thanks!

Sure, it'd work well with a good bass speaker cabinet.

Don't know... but why not? Might not have the same low end attenuation as a "real" bass head and will distort sooner - but that's why I love playing through old Marshall Superbass plus a 215. Awesome loud, destruction!

My guitarist has one of those. It's stupidly loud. It will do just fine. He actually has to use a pedal in front of it because it doesn't distort enough.
