Peavey Mark III Bass + Eden D410XLT - Comments?

I've been running a Peavey mkIII bass head into a Fender 2x15" cab for decades and it's *always* been flabby and undefined. I mostly play guitar, so I haven't bothered to do anything about it, but I'm starting to play a lot more bass recently and the flabbiness is really starting to bug me. So, I'm thinking of diving in and picking up an Eden D410XLT to replace the Fender cab.

I've read a lot of the discussions on whether it's possible to "under-power" a cabinet, and I'm not too concerned about that. I'm just wondering, though, if anyone has any comments about this particular combination. Eventually I'll get a nicer head, but my best guess is that the cabinet is really the weak link here and causing the majority of the flab.

Thoughts?

A D410XLT will definitely improve things IMO, although I would go for a 4 ohm cab due to the Mk. III's meager power output at 8 ohms.

Thanks. 4 ohm would be good. I don't think there is much chance of my picking up a second cab in the forseeable future, so no point in 8 ohms.

...unfortunately just found out that my local Eden dealer is no longer an Eden dealer and has pretty much nothing in stock. Damn!
