Peavey Mark vi vs Peavey Firebass 700
 

I finally gave in and created a profile on this website because I have one question I cannot find the answer too. Peavey Mark vi or Peavey Firebass (or Maxbass 700 since they are the same thing). at the moment i have a peavey tvx 4x12 and a Peavey 4x12 with black widow speakers. both are loud loud loud cabinets, but i may downsize the tvx for either a mesa 2x10 or a peavey 1x15 with a black widow. i just want to make sure i have the power to run whatever cabinets i want. bass-wise i have an esp-ltd ec-404, a 5 string fender mim jazz bass, and an epiphone explorer. and im also going for a raw sound, i play hardcore, metal-ish stuff. thanks in advance. -Jake

The Firebass/Max 700 puts out nearly twice the power as the Mark VI so I'd be looking at that one. The Firebass / 412TVX combination is a proven winner. If you're going to downsize, I'd toss the 412BW which I believe is primarily a guitar cab anyway.
