Peavey Mark VIII Help

Sign in to disble this ad
So I'm handy enough to tinker with stuff but am pretty inexperienced with amps. I recently picked up a Peavey Mark VIII. The inside looks pretty dusty, and all I want to do is open this thing up and clean out some of the dust, but I've never opened up an amp like this.

There are 4 fasteners on the top and the bottom of the enclosure that hold the faceplate and backplate in place. There also seem to be some fasteners for an intake fan on the bottom and then fasteners for something mounted inside.

How are the knobs and connections on the faceplate and backplate connected to the PCB/guts inside? I should have enough slack on wires to pry both the plates out and poke around inside, right? I really just want to hit the parts with a can of compressed air to clean out the electronics as I'm sure that hasn't been done in years.
