Peavey Max bass amp

I just bought a Peavey Max bass amp and was wondering if any of you out there had one at one time or played on one before.Its the late 80's early 90's 800 watter built in the flight case.Kinda just wondering what to expect.

Expect? Other than it working you mean? Peavey builds solid gear, so if your new amp works, what else are you looking for?

The Max was a Combo 300 pre with a CS 800 power section. There wasn't any "character" there, it's as clean as a live mixing console channel.

8 band rotary eq 60, 120, 250, 500, 1K, 2K, 4K, 8K.

It's been 20 years, but at the time I thought it was great. It was really popular on pro stages, the rest of us couldn't afford one.

No, I wouldn't have guessed that. It's a Peavey. They're known for building solid, inexpensive, reliable gear. Tone is usually not included. Your question was unclear, I tried to clarify, thanks for the eye-roll.
