so my friend offered to fix my peavey micro bass amp for me, and its just the pots that need changing. so im wondering if they are connected to a board or what not.

has anyone worked on these before? i think its from early 2000s

Before you take it apart, pull the knobs and spray contact cleaner into the pots from the front. Work the knobs a bit and repeat. I've done this on several peavey amps and it usually works.

+1 pots rarely need to be replaced. Spray in a little cleaner if they're open. Some self clean fine by just moving them back and forth, back and forth, 10 - 20 times.

Ya...try the cleaning first....not familiar with that exact amp, but most Peavey stuff is "tech friendly"....a quick open and look/see will tell ya.

...another Peavey bonus....they are usually easy to open and close back up, with minimal weirdness.
