Peavey Pro 115

Hey guys, I'm sorry if someone has already posted something like this, but I searched and couldn't find much information on this cabinet. I have just got a little mark tube and I need to buy a cab. I've managed to find a Peavey Pro 115 for around 250 pounds, which to me seems like a great deal as it usually sells for around 500. The problem is, I play mainly funk, and I do like the option of having some high mids in my tone - is getting a 15inch speaker a bad idea? How does this cabinet sound on its own?

I was thinking I could buy this for the moment, and then buy another 2x10 or something once I have the money perhaps?

I'm sorry for the vagueness of these questions. I understand that that tone is subjective but I have very little experience with cabinets (I'm used to playing through combos), and I can't find any reviews of this cabinet anywhere.

I would be using this mainly for gigging (I usually just D.I when I record) and the genres of music I play mainly are funk, hiphop and jazz, so versatility is quite important.

Thanks guys.

Should work out fine. Buy it, play with it, see what you think. Adding a 210 would also be fine, just be sure both cabs are 8 ohms. Also, another 15 would rock.

Much of this is in mating a head, bass, strings and touch to the cab.

Headphones please...

The product video for the PJB BG-300 combo centres on a tonal comparison of the PJB rig with that of a 4x10, a 1x15, and a 1x12 cab.
