Peavey Pro Bass 500

Hello friends, as the title indicates I have a question about my peavey head. I recently purchased a new ampeg b-hlf 4x10 cab and am switching from a crate BX215E. The peavey is currently heavily scooped with the bass and treble up and mids cut. My question is, any helping suggestions on how to make the transition easier and to help get a great sound. I play death metal and like a really punchy sound which is why I went from the 2x15 to the 4x10. I get the concept of working with the apms eq but im not very good at getting a good sound. I know this maybe confusing and it's mainly personal preferences but any advise would be greatful. Thanks

I would try rolling off the lowest frequency on your amp a little and give it a mid bass boost, 100hz is where punch is and 200 will help it cut through.
