Peavey PVI series poweramps

Sign in to disble this ad
Are these any good for bassguitar amplification? Seems like a lot of power for little money. I could get 800 watts bridged at 4 ohm for only 200 euro (PVI1000). And peavey is a solid brandname so I'm willing to risk it.

Weird thing is... they are on thomann.de, but not on peavey.com... anyone has an explanation for that?

What says the TB community?

If anyone is interested...
I asked this in a mail to Peavey:

Hello

I found these amps on the thomann.de webstore: http://www.thomann.de/be/peavey_pvi_2000.htm

Is this a genuine peavey product? I can't find anything anywhere else on the internet about it...

Thanks for any help!

This was there reply:

Hi,

Yes they are Peavey produced units.
These amplifiers were specifically developed for the South American market, and are not normally offered in the USA or European markets (Hence nothing on our web sites).
Manual attached with specifications.

Regards,

They are very very heavy from the looks of it, and not cheap

I'd go with Crown's XLS Drivecore stuff if you can.
