Peavey standard series 260 head

I picked this head up used at guitar center. It sounds alright, but has seen better days.

It's been modified, but I'm not sure why. There's a 12-way knob on the back which doesn't do anything, a 2-way switch added to the front which decides whether or not the dist/reverb channel works, and an extra input jack above the footswitch input.

If anyone knows about this amp, please chime in. Are these popular mods? What purpose do they serve when done properly?

I'm also looking for a schematic so i can wire it back to it's original state.

Wow....

Opinion.. after owning hundreds of things like this..

Dial it in with the way it is.

It "MAY" be possbile to just clip some of the stuff

If it's modded, this could be a very long and aggrevating experience.

Meridian plant has diagragms.. not sure if it's worth your time........

Nice head.. not sure if you're an electrical engineer or not.

Let me know if you would want to check it out, or take a stab at working on it. we're in the same area, and I could pay.
