Peavey Tour™ 450 amp and Peavey TVX 115 EX™ 8 ohm cab

I have been learning the bass for about 9 months. I have a MIM P-Bass, MIJ Jaguar, and Ibanez SG300 with Bartolini MK4 Pups. I use the Fender Rumble 75 amp.

I am looking for a fuller sound sort of Jamerson Motown, that the Rumble doesn't produce.

I visited my local music store and tried various amp configs. I found the Peavey Tour™ 450 amp and Peavey TVX 115 EX™ 8 ohm cab produced the sound I want. I played briefly in the store and listened to an experienced bass player demonstrate the equipment with a Fender P-Bass. Awsome.

Anyone used this setup? I would appreciate a review.

You can never go wrong with a peavey amp. It will last forever then some, and you like the sound even better. I used a peavey 810 cab on the road for about 5 years and worked great and still works for the guy i sold it to. And you cant beat the price. go for it!!!!

I dont think you can go wrong if you buy something you like! If you like the sound of YOU playing through this set up, then I say go for it - and Peavey stuff is well made stuff for a reasonable price.

And there is a review of the Tour series amp in Bass player mag, which I think you can view on the Peavey web site.....
