There is a pair of these local for a pretty good price and I'm going to check them out. Anybody ever used them?

I have a Peavey Pro410 that I bought used at a local guitar shop. They also had a new Tour 410 there, so I A/B'ed the two before I bought the Pro410. To me, the Pro sounded good. Somewhere between an SVT-410HLF and an Aguilar 410.

In contrast, the Tour 410 sounded kinda crappy to me. It seemed to be farting out at volume levels that the Pro410 was handling with ease (and that wasn't *that* loud).

Bottom line for me: I would not buy a Tour 410 at just about any price. I would definitely rather buy one good 410 than two Tour 410s for the same money.

My $0.02.

Peavey Tour 410 sounds awesome & it's way louder than most 410's out there. I run it with an Ampeg 4-Pro @ 900 watts RMS In drop D tuning & it puts out like a super freak. No distortion not even a hint of fear. It's not the most amazing sounding cab out there but it can put up where others shut up. For Rock, metal, Indie I've found this cab shines best.

My experience is closer to tbird's than Stuarts. I have two Tour 410s that I got cheap ($200 for one $300 for the other). I've pushed 700 watts into a single with no issues. It's a pretty solid cabinet and seems to handle volume well. It's not going to be the clearest sounding cab out there, but it works pretty well. My only complaint is it can sound a bit dull and lifeless to my ears, but to each their own.
