Peavey "tour" series heads and TVX cabs

I'm looking at getting new bass gear, and my brother can get stuff from Peavey nearly at cost. I'm looking at getting a Peavey Tour 700 head, and maybe the TVX series 4x10 and 1x15. Anybody familiar with this head? I'm pretty sure the TVX series is similar to the older "Black Widow" series, and I liked my 1x15 black widow cab. I used to run an Peavey Classic 400 head, with an Ampeg 6x10 and I liked that setup, but it could really have used more lows. Will this setup get me close to what I'm looking for? Also, the band I'm in is tuning low (Ab) so I want to know if this will have a good response that low.

TVX cabs have very good bottom. Some feel that they lack a bit of mids but I have no problem with mids, just eq it how you like it. I've heard one guy live with a Tour 700 head and a TVX 4X10 and it sounded great, loud and tons of bottom.

I have a 410 tvx cabinet and a firebass 700 head, and I love it. Plenty loud with lots of low end. I play a fender jazz at it sounds awsome.

Th e tvx is different then the black widows. The tvx has shefields not black widows.
