Hay everyone on TalkBass! this is my first post and my grammar sucks so i apologize in advance. lol now to my question, i got a tour tnt 115 a little while ago from GC open with no manual and was wondering if anyone here has experience with the DDT speaker protection on peavey amps. it says when its lit its on, well mines aways lit and it seems to me (it says red when active) that its aways lit and turns red when its active. ive heard people on here say their tour 115 "clips" and the light blinks. is it just changeing from green to red? i tryed calling peavey but got the phone robot lol. it looks like the light is a 2 led light and it turns from green to red. i aways leave the ddt on cuz i dont want to brake the thing, its LOUD too. like i cant even turn it past 2 in my apartment, at 2 it shakes stuff in my room lol im pretty happy with the thing i got it for 399 so if i blow it up i wont be that sad but if its that loud at 2 id like to know how this ddt works before i turn it up to 11 lol |

But I'm used to setting up either a 450 Nitrobass head, a 115 cab with a 410 cab, or using an old Fender 135 Bassman head with a 2-15 cabinet. With this TNT, all my gear fits in the back seat of my truck. Used to own one of the old 1980s Bass Combos, I think it was 130 watt head with a single Black Widow 15. It had to weigh two times what this Tour TNT does. The sound and tone is great too. Does good with the Low B too, but I wasn't playing real loud and hard. I haven't spent a lot of time dialing the sound in yet, but so far, its well worth the cash. I just hope it holds up well. |

I've owned and dittled around with basses a while but this is the first bass amp I've owned LOL. I used a small guitar amp before but the dude who owned it and I had a falling out of sorts so I returned it like 3 years ago and my old ESP sat I'm my closet where it still sits.
Recently I've gotten a little cash so I said to my self I coud get a new bed a peace of s**t car or a small bass rig. I like low end frequency what can I say LOL. This amp is nice too its so loud in my room its crazy. It sounds pretty nice I can't get as much funky slap tone as I'd like but that's OK I could probly break my windows with it LOL. |

| | | | I have had my TNT 115 for a week now. I called Peavey and support said the green light will bee on all the time. When the DDt is activated the light will flash RED which is ok. If the light is SOLID RED the amp should go to the shop. I have turned mine wide open and have yet to make the light flash or the amp clip. I am well please with the amp. |

| You can add any 8 ohm cab you like. That is actually how you get all the power out of the amp and it does a lot to increase your volume.
If you want to use a power amp, use the send jack to drive it. In theory, you can use as many power amps and cabs as you want that way.

8ohm, neo bw's | That would be the logical choice but its 450$. I only paid 400$ for the combo and am looking for something in the 200$ range. |

I've heard g&k stuff is pretty nice but I've never messed with any of their stuff. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
