Peavey tvx810 speaker problem?

Sign in to disble this ad
I think only the top half of my speakers are actually working. Or the bottom half just don't push as much air as the top ones. What should I do? Is there something I don't know about 8x10's? The head I have paired with the cab is a Gk800rb

How have you come to this conclusion? Have you knelt in front of it while playing and checked it top to bottom?

Are there more than one inputs? Could be stereo capable, and you're only using one half?

Is it separately chambered? If it is two boxes, then a single speaker going will change the tuning and alter the sound of them all, acting as a passive radiator, that could explain still getting sound but sounding wrong.

open it up and check the wiring at the speaker where it stops working. could be a disconnected wire.
