Peavey Valveking for Ric stereo?
So i've been trying out my Ric's stereo output, and it sounds pretty awesome.
Now I'm looking into buying a guitar rig and found a couple of used Peavey Valveking's for reasonable money.
(I tested out the stereo with my guitarists ENGL Fireball, but I'm not looking to spend that much right away)
Anyone have some experience with these? Good/no good? Crap/great?
I bought a Valveking for guitar because I wanted a loud clean amp.
I have it used it for bass with a bass cab and found it to be more than adequate.
The OD channel isn't the best, but, with a couple pedals that'll remedy itself.
IMO, It's a better bass amp than guitar amp.
I've played a couple gigs with a Valveking. There are a lot of them available used, and they make very decent bass amps. The main shortcoming to me is that there's not a whole lot of EQ adjustment range because the EQ is passive.
