It's an easy fix but I don't know if is just a fuse or something else wrong that made the fuse blow.

I was going to run it by a music shop tomorrow and test it out again and have my amp guy look at it, but the good thing is that I stay just an hour away from the main Peavey HQ in Mississippi. I hope it is an easy fix though cause I'm broke and this is my main amp at the moment.

PM http://www.talkbass.com/forum/member.php?u=63520. If you are that close they are known to be very helpful and he has stated that fuse is very hard to locate for a proper replacement.

Same Problem

I just bought the Peavey VB 2 an hour ago when I got home it worked about 10 minutes and then nothing, probably just going to take it back and get my money back.

Same here. Returned the first one. Second one lasted 5 minutes. Awesome tone! Sending this one to peavey for repair. Hopefully they fix it right the first time! I'm perplexed as I've never had any problems with Peavey products until now.

Is yours one of the early models, or newer?

I am still tinkering with the idea of a VB-2 on top of my Avatar B212s (or an Eden WT800 or Fender 800 Pro) but I'd prefer the new amp to be as reliable as the old Firebass/Max 700 heads.

Not sure, but they both came from the same store so could be old stock.
Hopeing Peavy doesn't have a long turnaround time at the service center, guys in the band were very impressed with the tone. I've got faith it'll come back and be reliable! Its a peavey!
