Peavy Tour TNT 600 Watt Amp Issues.

I'm having troubles with my Peavy Tour TNT amp. It's basically just not loud enough. I always have to make sure my woofer doesn't blow (It already did once, replaced it) while trying to go as loud as possible while trying to hear myself while our guitarist and his wonderful, heavy Kustom amp proceed to be loud as hell. So basically, how can I get my amp to be louder and have more deep end without blowing my amp or having my tone turn into a muddy pit? Would buying a cab help? Let me know.

Wait, are you talking about a combo amp with one speaker? If so, then yes absolutely you need a bigger and more efficient speaker cab, no question. You'll be amazed at the difference if you plug the amp into a good-quality 4x10, or better yet an 8x10 or 2x15 or other big cab.

A little compresson will help protect your speaker but i would add another 8ohm extension 15 to it. That will bring your total load to 4ohms then and the amp will also put out its full power.

Thanks! I'm probably going to look into cabinets here very soon. Any ideas on what I should get?

Something that matches what the combo already has, ie: if it's a 1x15 combo, get a 1x15 Peavey cab.
