Peter Steele's bass rig

Sign in to disble this ad
I know I ran across a discussion somewhere (and I'm pretty sure it was here) regarding Peter Steele's bass equipment. Found a couple of pictures that might help some of those who are more edumucated on this stuff than me. You can even see the EQ faders on the preamp in one of the pics. So, to whoever was looking for this stuff, I hope this helps.

For basses he used Fernandes, though I think I remember using an Alembic occasionally.

It's a Washburn M-10 in the 2nd pic. I've been trying to track one down for awhile now.

Yep definitely a Peavey guy. Max preamps, 810 cabs, etc.

click this next one for a giant view where you can check out the rack...

and lastly in these pics from '95, you can see no less than 6 - Peavey 3620s (2 right behind Pete, 2 to the right, and one each on far left and far right.) I assume some of them are for keyboards, the others for bass, and the 2 - 2x412 stacks for the guitar...

Look at Pete standing in front of the 3620s, you know you are a bad arse when you make them look small (Pete was 6' 7.5" according to an interview in 2008...)

Here's an awesome vid of Type O Negative in action - R.I.P. Pete:
