Phil Jones Bass D-600, anyone?

Sign in to disble this ad
I tried a Phil Jones Bass D-600 in a store a week ago, (not being hooked up to a Phil Jones cab, if I remember correctly) and I was blown away. It worked perfect with my LINC fretless bass and my style of playing. Especially the fast response and natural tone (it gives out what you put in) impressed and inspired me deeply. For a bit of context, other amps I tried were the Aguilar TH500 (total fun amp, great tone but a bit too colored for my purposes) and Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0 (great amp for sure, but for some reason didn't work for me at all). So I think about getting it, after working out the dough situation.

However, the cab I would be using with it would be an Acme Low B2, and I wonder if that would be a good match. Also, haven't found much on this amp on the forum. Anybody have any experiences or ideas? Thanks!
