The new DNA Amplification amp was introduced at Winter Namm this morning. It is a 1200 watt, 7 pound head with a full function compressor section, EQ (bass, low mid, high mid & treble), side chain, effects loop, tuner out, etc!

The first production run of this amp was sold out within the first hour of the first day of Namm. This amp is a beast!

I found a press release at Products - David Nordschow Amplification. It does say that it is rack mountable, but I found no mention of Ohms.

I'm guessing somewhere in the $1200-$1400 range.

Yes, it will have rack ears. Unfortunately, I can't answer your first question. I'll try and find out today.

oooOOOOoooooohhhh.

Although I wasn't all that enthused after playing the DNA cabs I'm really excited about this head... Can't wait to see them in stores! I hope it's shows it's Eden lineage.

Any info on how heavy it is?
Soundclips somewhere?

Looks interesting.
If it sounds anything near eden however it's not my cup of tea at all.
There's hope!

There's a hefty clue in the OP...

"It is a 1200 watt, 7 pound head with a full function compressor section, EQ (bass, low mid, high mid & treble), side chain, effects loop, tuner out, etc!"

YES!! Made in the USA. Since profit and pleasing investors was the #1 priority when he left Eden I would guess it left a bad taste in David Nordshow's mouth to see his entire amp line made in Asia.

The Helix amplifier is the latest product offering from DNA. Like the DNA speaker systems, the Helix amplifier is engineered, assembled and tested in the USA.

Any word on availability in Europe? Since it says 90-250V, I assume it has to happen?

Also interested in the ohm-question posted earlier.

+1. If this pairs well with my AE410, I'll have to have one.
