Piggy Back Rumbles

Sign in to disble this ad
I bought a Fender Rumble 60 very cheap. I`m now considering buying another if i can connect them piggy back to have a 2X12 setup. I don`t know if both amps would have to be powered up or if the second would just act as a cab. How would that work? Thanks & take care. Bob

Hi Jim. Thanks for your reply, however I don`t know what an aby box is. I did a search and found what I think you are refering to. Is this it? Says switch between two amps. Can I use the two together at the same time as well?

Don't they have a preamp out and poweramp in jacks on the front like the rumble 100?

You need both on. And You would either need an A/B/Y box, or some other pedal that will split your signal. I just looked at the rumble 60 on musicians friend, and it looks like it does have a pre out and power in, so I would run the preamp of the first one into the power of the 2nd one.

have both on, and take full advantage of the R60's line out jack, which i believe is a completely untouched copyof your input! just sent that across to the input of the second one!

+1 run them both on and connect the preamp out of the one to the poweramp in of the other, it'll be like running 2 powered cabs :-)

By this do you mean to just connect the two units via power cable or must I go through a box?

Thanks everyone. This is good news. I have placed an WTB ad in craigslist to locate a second unit. Take care. Bob
