| Pignose Hog-30 Speaker Questions

Hello. I was wondering if anyone had done any mods on a Pignose Hog-30. First, did anyone else have any trouble getting the back open? Unscrewed it and panel wouldn't budge and afraid to stick something to pry it open because of damage to the "leather".
Main question is this though. What would be the best replacement speaker in order for it to handle more low end? I've heard people talking about putting a 10" in there but is there an 8" that works?
Although Gorilla says it's a 30 watt amp I believe it's really a 20 watt with 30 being the max it can handle(?)
