Played my GK MB2 500 last night

I brought my Gallien-Krueger MB2-500 amp to practice last night. I had only briefly played it at home to test it out. I bought it used. All I have to say is WOW! That sucker is LOUD! I brought another amp just in case I blew it. Not that the band plays deafening loud, I just did not know or trust the little GK. I am a firm believer now. I actually had to turn it down (especially the bass) because it was too loud.

My only complaint is that with my old eyes and the small amp, the print is hard to read. But that's a minor complaint.

I will probably start selling off all my older back-breaking equipment and go mostly Class D.

BTW the amp did not ever get hot enough to kick on the fan. The amp was only slightly above room temp after we quit.

+1...
I'm running my G.K. MB2-500 into two Avatar Neo 210 cabs stacked as a vertical 410.......still can't believe how loud and good sounding this rig is!
Plus, both Avatar cabs and the G.K. head together weighs less than my SVT head alone weighed!!!

I used my MB-500 last weekend pushing 2 GK212 II neo cabs outdoors in 90 degree weather. 2 hour show, the amp never broke a sweat (but I did!) Lightweight, power to spare and great tone. I like mine a lot.

MB500 user here... 4 shows in, I'm sold on the power, tone tweakability and PORTABILITY of this mighty little head.
