Playing Guitar Rig or Amplitube through my amp. Possible?

I figured I would ask here before I blew something up. Keep in mind this is just for messing around with, not to play out.

Is it possible for me to run my pc into my amp and have it amplified and out to my cab? In my brain it says yes since the signal will be coming from the speaker out on the pc to the input on the amp just like a signal from the bass would. Is that correct? I dont want to screw up my head and I especially dont wanna blow up my very nice pc.

I play a peavey tour 700

You probably will not blow anything as long as you don't have your pregain or master volume too loud, but it probably won't sound that good.

The only way to do it correctly would be to take a line level out of your computer into a reamp device

Radial ProRMP (Passive) | Sweetwater.com

and then into your amp. That would keep the impedance correct.

I use this signal chain:
Bass-Apogee Jam interface-iPad-Traynor YBA-1A 90watts head-Traynor matching 2X15 cab.

Sounds insane!!!
