Please Compare: Eden D210XST vs SVT-410HLF

I am mainly a slap player with a LTD B5E stock bass. I play in a jam band that gets a good edge throughout the show. We are 1 guitar, keys, bass, drums. Mostly small clubs and the occasional outdoor gig.

I love the portability of the Eden but like everyone else am worried it wont be enough by itself.

Should I go with my gut and deal with the weight of 410s or is there no BIG difference?

If the Eden can truly do what the SVT-410HLF can do then I want it.

I will be running either a GK1001RBII or the Eden WT550.

i have never used the eden cab but i own the ampeg 410hlf. The 410 does not disappoint. I play in a jam bands too. Played an outdoor show last night with drums, keys, 2 electric guitars, 1 acoustic guitar, vocals, and my bass. I didn't have PA support. plenty of low end when needed and the cab cuts through too. Some people say the hlf can be muddy. That is true, depending on your settings and what not, but if you know how to eq thats not a problem. It is pretty big for a 410. Rolling it around can sometimes be awkward since it isn't really tall enough for the tilt-back and roll design. It isn't light but its not a problem for me to carry by myself. All around, it's a great cab and i recommend it if you need a 410.

What about running the GK1001RBII with the D210XST? Any problems there? If I wanted to add another D210XST later, what impedance should I pick for the the cabs?

or Should I run the WT550 with those cabs?

I guess I would like the comparison with this in mind. Thanks.

I REALLY want the 210 to work so I am really portable. But again I will suck it up and haul the 410 around if needed.

if your current eden cab is 8ohm you would need another 8ohm cab if you wanted to add one. You should be able to run either one of those heads with that cab though. If it turns out the one 210 isnt enough you could always add another to keep the portability.

OK you're right. I can add the second one if needed.

I am 100% getting the D210XST. What impedance? (I will add the second D210XST in a few months)

Which amp? The GK1001RBII or the WT550?

SO Ultimatley the amp will be powering 2 D210XST cabs. Thanks, Im getting there!

If this is your plan, get 8 ohm cabs. Two will give either amp a 4 ohm load.

Either amp will get the job done. Can you play them anywhere near you?
