Please compare shuttle 12 CAB with GB neo 12 CAB

Sign in to disble this ad
Last week, I bought the small GB shuttle 12 ( used for $345 ) that is normally mated with a Shuttle 6 I believe. or maybe shuttle 3/
Fast forward to yesterday , I played the larger HEAVIER!! Neo 12 ... a much bigger deeper sound.
The store manager gave me till tomorrow the latest to return the small 12 to buy the larger neo 12.
I am short on time- regarding searches.
I need kind of quick help here, on the attributes of these two cabs...
The Neo seems "better"; any and all opinions from those of you who have played both, are very appreciated.
I have to decide today!!
Thank you

Yes, the Neo is a better cab. The Shuttle combo cab is a compromise of sound vs. size. Great for it's size, but nowhere near as good as the bigger box.

GB and GK almost look alike at a quick glance... I have seen here at TB a lot of favorable comments about GK 12 neo.
Do you have any comparative comments on neo GB and neo GK 12's?

I assume the GB neo 12 is NOT boomy, is tight??
Would you say it is punchy yet also has a nice bassiness as well?
Thank you

+1. The neox is bigger, heavier, louder, lower and much more meaty overall. No comparison IME.

Get the NeoX. I tried the Shuttle 12 and it didn't work as well.

And if I need louder... 2 of them works Ohm wise with most heads? I know nothing about impedance and dual cabs, except that it can go to low impedance wise.
I am interested in either Shuttle max 9.2 Streamliner 900 or maybe MB LM3

Just one more vote for the NeoX. Great cab.

Absolutely loving my Neox 212T. It handily replaced 2 TC rs210 cabs.

I don't know where the GK came from, but if you are looking at either a GB 112 sold with the Shuttle series, or a NeoX 112T, go with the NeoX.

GB neox 112 is better all around beside size and weight (bigger and heavier).

+1 Noex212

I have a Neox 212x as of last week. With the 700rbII I can dial in almost any sound I want. Tight lows and mids with definitive highs, or mud! Lay it on its side and you can get even muddier!

2 Neox 12 cabs will give a total impedance of 4 Ohms. No prob running 1 or 2 of those cabs with pretty much any head currently available
