Please suggest a good 8 ohm/minimum 400 watt 2x10 or 2x12

My current set up is an 8 ohm/350 watt 1x14 and an 8 ohm/400 watt 4x10. Not really digging the 1x15, but want another cab to get full potential from my amp (500 watts at 4 ohms).
Cab would also need to have 1/4" jack out for extension cab.
Thanks everyone.

There are literally dozens of decent choices out there. Maybe a hundred.

Please specify your budget (in AUD or USD, but specify which); specify the brands that are available in your region; specify whether you are willing to order from overseas; specify the genres you play or the tones you like; specify whether weight is a consideration; and look up the rated sensitivity of the 4x10 you're pairing the new cab with.

Hey Bongo - I realize it was a bit of a lazy question!
It may have to be a little schizophrenic in nature. My cover gig at the moment is acoustic duo, which I will primarily only use this cab for alone with an MXR M80 to boost signal and enhance tone a little.
My original music gig however is metal - sort of a cross between Metallica chunk and Euro melody, and in this instance I will use the above setup with an 8 ohm 4x10 cab (400 watt max output).
Not sure exactly what my budget will be in $ - willing to consider something between $500 - $1000 AUD I guess. Would prefer to buy locally as well and will probably stick to brands that are available in most areas around the world.
I like modern punchy tones.
As for the sensitivity off my current cab Im sorry I dont know what that means !

Not sure I'd recommend any 210s. The Genz 212 Neo is a nice cab and punchy as hell. If I were you I'd at least give it a spin.

It's a rating that would be published in the specs for the cab. A typical rating would look like "96 dB" or "100 dB at 1w/meter". So if you look in the manual for your cab, or look online at the Hartke site, you should be able to find that spec. What it means, roughly/simply, is how loud it gets relative to the wattage you feed it. The reason it's relevant is it will help us recommend a cab that will match the one you have already.

Thanks for the info. I'm assuming you mean for the 4x10 I am keeping. Unfortunately none of my documentation, nor any of the info available on the Hartke site mention anything about sensitivity.
In the process however you have just answered a question I was always too embaarassed to ask - why one 400watt speaker with same amp settings will sound louder than a different brand with volume set in same position. Speaker sensitivity yes?
BTW I came across the Peavey Headliner 2x10. Looks like the sort of thing I'm after.
