Plexiglass cover for a head (where is the sadowsky guy?)

Just received a beautiful piece of equipment - SWR baby baby blue.
It's in perfect condition, sounds great and everything, and I really like the way it looks.
But, it was taken out of a combo, so it has no cover.
Thought of designing a Plexiglas cover to match the head,
so it will have an interesting look, plus showing the tube's light.
Also, I can make a metal cover in the same color, since my family runs a sheet metal forming factory..
What would you choose?
I remember one TBer who made a plexiglass cover for his sadowsky amplifier,if you're here, any suggestions of material, thickness and finish?

The amp itself is dreamy.. works so well with my EDEN cx-110,
and sounds amazing throughout the entire frequency range.
Bought it for $200 on ebay.

I would put some plexi, and if you feel like being fancy find a way to add a blue LED...

I'd use a piece of steel or aluminium plate to shield the amp from external noise.

^This.

While a plexi cabinet would look extremely cool, omitting the shielding sheet (or paint) the amp slot was covered with, will most probably turn the amp into a hum machine. Or a radio reciever .

Plexiglass won't shield out RFI so a metal cover would be best. Many combos are plagued by this--it's why you can hear cell phones "ringing" (it sounds like "brrt-brrt-brrt-brrt" through the combo's speaker) anywhere in the vicinity even if the cell phone's ringer is set to vibrate only.

Also, metal is much easier to work with.
