Poor Markbass

I guess their shipment from Italy didn't make it to NAMM, so the display is made up of whatever gear they could get from the local GC. Bummer huh!!

The sad thing is that even though GC is the exclusive retailer of Markbass gear, most GC's don't have hardly anything there. You'd think they would have the latest, greatest displays with all the MoMark stuff and lots of selection but No o o o o.

I'm sure they did fine since they have many of their endorsers there.

The local GC here in Nashville has a pretty good line of MarkBass gear - not everything of course, but they always seem to have three or four amp models and a number of different cabs. And it's always prominently displayed and is often what people use to try out their basses. Worked for me - I heard someone playing through the LMlll and after trying it out for myself, bought one. I've very impressed with this amp, and they seem to be moving them pretty fast out of that store.

I'd imagine the GC's in LA (Thousand Oaks anyone???) have quite the selection of Markbass gear. If they were getting ready to launch something awesome...it'll have to wait until next week. Oops.

Wow - that sucks! Though I was visiting my mom in Boston a few weeks ago and the GC there had a decent amount of stuff . . .

My local GC is ok. They have a few cabs and combos, and they recently put out one of the LM tube 800 amps. I bought a floor model F1 and am waiting for my new in box one to arrive. In fact, it might be there today!

In Pittsburgh, I only ever saw the combos, a 410 and a LMII. Pretty lame floor offering. (But I still picked up the LMII last time I went.)

: )
