popping in speaker

hey everyone....i am running an eden wtx-260 into an avatar 210 neo....lately i am getting alot of popping coming from my cab....it does not do this when i run it into the 212 neo cab....my question is...does anyone think that maybe the tweeter or the crossover are going out....and if so can i unhook the tweeter safely...thx for your responses in advance....

could it be you are hitting the strings harder when playing the 2x10, thus thwacking your pups?

The only popping I've ever experienced is with a speaker that's done.

Popping can be the voice coils hitting the driver back plates, caused by overpowering. That will destroy drivers really quick.

Doing so could damage your amp. You must completely bypass the crossover to be safe.
