I've been updating it as I've come across other vendors and [i]I welcome additions/corrections. Many of the vendors have cabinets that have similar weight/ sizes/connector types with different speaker combinations and update their offerings regularly. Check the vendor's website for many other options.
There are new "light weight" products coming out all the time so I added some vendors just to list their name, even though they are not as light as others. YMMV. Note: all wattage is RMS, afaik. Cabs

Looks like it fits right in here

One thing: you list the Carvin BR615 as a cab, but it's actually a combo.
Cool stuff!!!!!
Cheers,

I've been looking at the specs on the Ashdown website and I just noticed a tiny mistake in your list: The Ashdown Klystron C115-500 combo (1x15) is 36 kg (about 79 lbs), not 36lbs. |

| | | | Acoustic B200 Combo I got one in July, (ok 78 lbs and it's the chinese one)...but I can still pick it up and put in the back of a toyota corolla...without droppin a nut!!
200 watts with a 15 ported with a tweeter and this thing can crack concrete and sound awesome doin it!!!
I've used it some small clubs with a hard hitting drummer and some marshalls and never passed 10:00 master and 12 o gain...I get some nice dirty sounds out of it

I've had other Yorkville and Traynor amps and have had no problems whatsoever with them. http://www.traynoramps.com/products....&cat=64&id=387

Many people have reported success running it as low as 2ohm, but it is not Mesa recommended. The standard Walkabout Scout Combo speaker is 4ohm, so an additional 8ohm speaker cabinet (like the Scout Extension) would result in a 2.67ohm load. |

| | Ruff | | Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: In the dog house. | | | acoustic image It's made for acoustic bass, but I played electric through one a few times recently and the AcousticImage Coda R is just dadgum amazing. It uses a downward firing 10" with a 5" mid + tweeter aimed forward. 400w@4ohm, 500@2.
I played through a friend's when I practiced at his house and couldn't get over the sound from this thing about half the size of a 5 gallon bucket. I took it to two gigs backing a 50's doo-op group, both about 50-100 people. It had tight, fat bass with no PA support (but it has a DI). I also borrowed it for a small club date (100 ppl) and played half volume.
It handles slaps and pops. It will drive other cabinets and the internal speakers will turn off. Good down to 2 ohm (internal is 4).
The best part is the whole thing is under 20 pounds. Only drawback is $1300 for the 2 channel model. Which, BTW, will allow a mike and acoustic guitar to sound marvelous for a small solo gig (XLR input).
My amp just quit, thinking of replacing my 300W head, 2x10T cab and 1x15 cab with this.
This is a dealer link but has better info than AI site: http://www.gollihurmusic.com/product...ERIES_III.html
Sorry to ramble. Maybe this should be under product reviews. New to forum. It is awesome. |
