Portable, lightweight combo about 120-150 watts?

Sign in to disble this ad
Anyone know of any? I've been looking around and they all appear to be too damn big...I'm after something about 120-150 watts I can carry half a mile to our practice room from the train station

I'm after something which is fairly lightweight, not that expensive (2nd hand would be fine...), not huge that I can easily carry with one hand (so 8 or 12 inch speaker...)

Anyone got any recommendations? (if possible decent vintage motown/60's sound...)

You might want to find a used SWR Baby Baby Blue 10" combo. When found used they can usually be had for a steal.

A 1/2 Mile? I own the Genz Shuttle 3.0-10t and it is so light that it seems my '78 Jazz is heavier. It is loud enough for practice...for a gig you need PA support unless it is a very small room. If you do use it stand-alone, then placing it close to a wall or corner helps out.

GK MB 150, Good little amp. Not as light as some of the modern micro's. I think mine is about 25 lbs.

Just remembered the Promethius by Ibanez. They have a 110 combo that is light and powerful. I personally didn't like the sound but It's all a mater of taste, effects, type of bass ect. It may be great for you.

I'm REALLY liking that one...size-wise its what I'm after and the tone seems to be pretty versatile as well! (I didn't say (coz I didn't think it existed) but I was looking for something a similar size to my Kustom KBA16...this one's a bit heavier but its the kind of size I'm looking for - and the weight isn't much different at all really, what...3-4lbs heavier or something? lol)
