Power Amp Assistance Required

If safe to do so, lets say at 50% of its volume; (12 O'Clock setting on the master(s))
I want to try out my Yamaha P5000S Power Amp with my Phil Jones 6B Cab.

Is it possbile to connect the Phil Jones D-200 amp on front of the Yamaha Power amp in some way, like a pre-amp.

Yamaha P5000S = 500-watts per channel into 8 ohms
Phil Jones D-200 Amp = 150 Watts - (Full power from 16 to 4 ohms)

Phil Jones 6B Speaker = 300 Watts @ 6 ohms

I play finger jazz style, (Fender Jazz, mostly & upright sometimes) I just looking for a little extra volume, without having to purchase something new, holding off until the new PJB D-600 comes on the market.

A power amp's level control is not a power (volume) limiter. So let's sweep that idea out of the way first.

Yes, you can connect the D-200's line out to a power amp. D-200 line out to one of the Yamaha channel's phone-plug inputs. Use a shielded cord -- any instrument or stomp-box cord will do. But check with D-200 support first to make sure it's ok to run the amp without a speaker load. Typically solid-state amps don't mind this, but check first (it costs you nothing but one email and a little time to be on the safe side).

Using the Yamaha's low-cut feature will help protect your speakers from dangerous subsonics (but not excessive volume; you'll have to use your own judgment and common sense for that). Start at 40 Hz and leave it there unless you can come up with evidence that 40 isn't working.
