power amp, bad output

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a carvin dcm2000, I run my RBI into channel 1 input, and switch parallel into both channels. I run each channel into a separate peavey 410 tx at 8 ohms each, with banana clips. Recently, the channel 2 banana output went all quiet and scratchy, so I plugged into the quarter inch output and it worked fine. Well today, the quarter inch output did the same thing, went super quiet with crackling.channel 1 is still fine, into either cab.any ideas? does it sound like I have anything hooked wrong and did damage?

Yeah i have the same kind of setup but with an E-SystemsPro 3400watt Poweramp.
Dude my amp didnt crackle, it had a distortion while playing at low volumes. The louder i played the less you could hear it. The tech could see it on the osilloscope when he plugged the amp to it.He said it was just registering on the osilloscope & that i had a great ear ! He was amazed i could hear it & said it must be bass player thing ?
The "Bias" was not correct & was adjusted by the tech & has been great since.Im not sure you have this problem to be honest.

Have you eliminated cables and cabs as the source of the problem? You have two of each so it should be easy.
