Power amp and cab help

I am putting together a bass rig. I have a couple of questions

I have a BMax preamp that I have been using to shape my sound with our churches Roland amp. I have a local shop that has a Peavey 260 power amp. I can get it for around $100. Opinions? My plan is to get a cabinet and power amp and have it for two purposes. One at church to use the DI on preamp out to board and the cabinet as monitor. Two use for small venues or mic'ed.

So ...

Opinion on the Peavey amp or one you would suggest?

Opinion on cabinet? Size is a concern due to storing it at home.

Thanks
..

Can't say without knowing the input sensitivity of the Peavey and output of the Bmax, but probably it works. Easy enough to take the pre and bass down to the shop and plug into a random bass cab.

Should work, but I would try it out.

The BMax is a great pre and should match up fine with a Peavey power amp, but I would try it all together.

Whatever 2x10 or 1x15 you can find. There are quite a few TL606 cabs floating about, everyone wants lightweight so old heavy goes cheap.

I noticed the 260 is only 100W so you might want a pair of cabs to get loud enough for bars with no PA.
