- Peavey Minx
Played one of these years ago. Thought it had decent sound and was surprisingly loud for such a small amp.
- Ibanez SW35
Never played an Ibanez amp. Don't know about the tone but it has more features than the Minx.
Anybody have any opinions on these?

done even worry or care about gigs/whatever at some future time..you will ALWAYS need a practice amp in the bedroom/den

I used a couple in my lesson room years ago, and they were great sounding little amps. I believe they have a headphone out. It'll most likely last forever- at least as long as cockroaches and Keith Richards, and Twinkie filling...

I got rid of my Ampeg B3 and replaced it with a BA-108 for practice at home. Another good used amp is an Acoustic B-20 which you can also get for less than $100USD.

| | | | IMO one of the best practice tools/amps was the Fender B Dec 30. Of course they (Fender) pretty much dropped it.
It is a great (relatively) sounding small combo, lots of features, I even use it with a midi keyboard. |

| | | | How about the Acoustic B10.
I have this one and I think it is pretty nice. I can shake some pictures on the wall, but it is not too big. It comes with a decent combo head, pretty nice for bedroom practice.

Bit this will be a lot more amp and would probably handle those coffee shop gigs. http://jacksonville.craigslist.org/msg/3430717033.html

| | | | I have the Ampeg BA 108 and I'm amazed how good it sounds. I keep a Fender Rumble 15 at my girlfriends house. It works fine, but the Ampeg sounds..... like an Ampeg. 'Nuff said!
