Can anyone recommend a quality set of headphones for under $100? I just moved into my new house for the semester and I want to avoid pissing off my roommates via my bass amp. |

I like them, but never really compared to others. I used to play with smaller sony ones but after an hour or so my ear hurt too much.. Thats why I went with the "around ears" headphones.

The bigger drivers emphasize bass a little more, but you lose highs compared to the 7506s, which have 40 mm drivers. I actually prefer the 7506s.

I bought a factory-refurbished pair of eh150's for $8 plus $4 shipping, on Amazon. Retail price is $40. Excellent headphones. You can not lose with Sennheiser!!

Sennheiser and AKG have the best engineering in <$100 price range - but neither of these brands offers a a big choice of models unless you spend more dough. The Grado headphones sound good too but aren't very comfortable in my opinion.
If you don't need closed-back headphones for noise isolation, you can find something in this price range |
