am i the only one who didn't miss a 3.000$ 1.600w head?

maybe better a 800/1200w (hopefully with a full parametric eq)?

look forward to hear your thoughts

p.s.: lucky owner of a rh450 + 1 rs112 and 1 rs212. imho the head struggles to drive a combination more powerful than this, but these are my two cents.

I use a TC Electronic 450 combo head driving a TC 210 cab + an Ampeg 410 cab. The sound is booming, the head keeps up fine, and doesn't heat up. Me likey.

I use my RH450 with various TC cabinets. While I typically use the RS210+RS210+RS212 configuration or just 2xRS210 when I can get away with it, I also use the RS112+RS212. I've never found the amp to be lacking power or thought it was struggling.

However, I've already laid my cash down for the Blacksmith which should be here in March with any luck.

Man, that unit's way above my pay grade, but just looking at it made my pants rattle.

I put some serious thought into the blacksmith... but after doing so for a few days, I came to the realization that I simply don't require that much power, in my current circumstance... couple that with the price tag (I'm not saying it is unreasonable) and I can't justify it myself...
My RH450 has been ideal for me... I have never needed to push it beyond 11:00 on main and it has so far, filled all my expectations...
Gas, howver can be a very dangerous thing!
At this point, I am content, however, should the good folks at TC decided to release a RH450'ish amp at say 800 watts and priced accordingly, I may be reaching for the "Beano", sooner, rather than later. Add the capability to reach 2ohms and I will be inserious trouble!

It's way to big for only 1600 W
1600 non-qualified watts - no EIA, FTC, or EIAJ rating. but they're nice enough to say it has 4000w peak.

TC should come out with a pre-amp only.

my thought as well, it would be perfect if it's a 2-space

I think it's got the "Hummer Syndrome"
