Preamp Newb Question (ADA-Alembic)

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm in the process of building my first real rig. The question is...if I want to have a ADA MB-1 and/or an Alembic FX-1 in my rack for tone/effects purposes can those go into another preamp...say the tube preamp in an Eden WT800 or do they need to go directly into a power amp only. Also my bass is active...how does that work with so many pre-amps in a chain like that? Thanks...and you can stop laughing now.

You can stack as many gain stages as you wish, but you'll need to watch all those levels closely.

Best is to go direct into a discreet power amp. You'll be chasing your tail then find no benefit from all the extra gear. Find a pre you love into a real power amp or just use an integrated and get on with the music.
